Four EMCC Lions collect 2019 MACJC All-State baseball honors
June 10, 2019East Mississippi Community College sophomore pitchers Jaxen Forrester and Wesley Grantham along with freshmen Tyler Miller and Austin Beech have earned 2019 MACJC All-State baseball honors, as chosen by the head baseball coaches of the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges. Miller and Forrester were selected to the 24-player first team, while Grantham and Beech made the second team. -

May 05, 2019East Mississippi Community College’s baseball season ended on a high note by claiming a 12-2 run-rule nightcap victory over seventh-ranked Jones College during Friday’s MACJC conference action played at Community Bank Park. The Bobcats posted a 5-2 win over the visiting Lions during the opening game of the doubleheader. -
Homers and complete-game pitching effort earn EMCC baseball DH split at Northeast
May 01, 2019Fifth-inning home runs by Austin Beech and Stuart Coggins along with a complete-game pitching performance by Wesley Grantham lifted visiting East Mississippi Community College to a 5-3 nightcap victory and an MACJC baseball doubleheader split at Northeast Mississippi Community College. The home-standing Tigers earned an 11-3 run-rule win over the Lions in the first game of NEMCC’s farewell twin bill played during Tuesday’s Sophomore Day festivities at Harold T. White Field. -

EMCC’s 7-4 nightcap victory over the Eagles followed Meridian’s 23-3 opening-game win over the Lions. -

The Lions’ 10-3 nightcap victory gained the twin-bill split after they dropped the opening game to the visiting Tigers by the same score. -

Wesley Grantham tossed a five-hit, complete-game shutout in EMCC’s 8-0 nightcap road win over Mississippi Delta during Tuesday’s conference action played at the Jimmy Bellipanni Baseball Complex. The Trojans claimed a 13-5 run-rule victory over the Lions in the opening game. -

The home-standing Warriors held on for the 7-5 win over the Lions in the opening contest. -

Home-standing EMCC Lions drop MACJC baseball opener to Copiah-Lincoln
March 18, 2019Despite a pair of excellent outings by their starting pitchers, the Lions of East Mississippi Community College dropped their conference-opening home baseball doubleheader against Copiah-Lincoln during Saturday’s MACJC action at Gerald Poole Field. After a ninth-inning comeback attempt in the opening game ultimately resulted in an 11-5 setback in 15 innings, EMCC couldn’t hold a late lead in the nightcap en route to dropping a 3-2 decision to the visiting Wolves. -
EMCC set to open MACJC baseball slate by hosting Co-Lin during Saturday’s reunion activities
March 13, 2019Reunion activities will be a part of East Mississippi Community College’s MACJC conference baseball opener Saturday against Copiah-Lincoln. Following a lunchtime reception for all returning EMCC baseball alumni and boosters, the Lions will take on the Co-Lin Wolves in a doubleheader set to begin at 2 p.m. at Gerald Poole Field on the Scooba campus. -

March 09, 2019In their first game action in nearly two weeks due to rain and wet field conditions throughout the region, the Lions of East Mississippi Community College split an eventful home baseball doubleheader with East Central Community College Friday afternoon at Gerald Poole Field. After a series of comebacks resulted in a dramatic 18-17 walk-off victory for EMCC in the opener, the Warriors earned the split with a 15-3 run-rule win in the nightcap. -

March 05, 2019With predicted rain and possible thunderstorms in the forecast for Saturday, East Mississippi Community College’s scheduled home-opening baseball doubleheader against East Central Community College has been moved up a day to Friday (March 8) on the Scooba campus. First pitch for Friday’s home season opener is set for 1 p.m. at EMCC’s Gerald Poole Field. -
EMCC Lions post 1-3 mark during season-opening baseball competition in Florida
February 17, 2019East Mississippi Community College opened the 2019 baseball season with a 1-3 showing against NJCAA Division I opposition this past weekend at Chipola Field in Florida. Along with splitting a pair of games with Gordon State, the Lions dropped close decisions to preseason top-ranked Chipola and Columbia State. -
