The East Mississippi Community College Lions picked up their first conference baseball sweep of the 2021 season with a 7-6 walk-off win in the opening game and a 12-1 run-rule nightcap victory over Southwest Mississippi during Tuesday’s MACCC doubleheader action played at Gerald Poole Field.

The Lions of East Mississippi Community College claimed their third MACCC baseball doubleheader split in the last four conference series by earning an 11-3 nightcap victory over Coahoma during Wednesday’s neutral-site twin bill played at Snowden Grove Park due to wet field conditions in Clarksdale. EMCC dropped a 3-2 nine-inning decision to the Tigers in the opening game.

Sullivan Field. EMCC’s 6-1 nightcap victory followed a 6-5 setback to the home-standing Wolves in the opening game.
