In their first in-state action of the men’s basketball season, the Lions of East Mississippi Community College swept a pair of games this past weekend at the Northeast Mississippi-hosted Bonner Arnold Classic. After an 89-83 win over Reid State on Friday, EMCC came back the following day with a commanding 106-49 victory versus Wallace Selma in Booneville.

The Lions of East Mississippi Community College earned a season-opening men’s basketball split at the Kiwanis Classic this past weekend in Indiana by bouncing back with Saturday’s quality 79-75 win over Olney Central College after dropping a hard-fought 80-73 overtime decision to preseason 18th-ranked and tournament host Vincennes University.

East Mississippi Community College’s 2024-25 men’s basketball season is set to tip off this week with the two-day Kiwanis Classic hosted by Vincennes University in Indiana. The Lions will take on preseason 18th-ranked Vincennes in opening-round tournament action on Friday (6 p.m. CT) before meeting Olney Central (IL) Saturday at 4 p.m. CT.
