East Mississippi Community College’s Carli Hodges placed 27th among the nation’s best collegiate barrel racers during last week’s College National Finals Rodeo held at the Casper (Wyo.) Events Center.
East Mississippi Community College will be represented in the College National Finals Rodeo for the ninth consecutive year, as region barrel racing champion Carli Hodges prepares to participate in next week’s national collegiate rodeo competition in Casper, Wyoming. The week-long event (June 9-15) will take place at the Casper Events Center.
The East Mississippi Community College rodeo teams closed out the regular-season portion of their NIRA Ozark Region schedule by recently earning third-place team finishes in both men’s and women’s competition at the annual Ranger Rodeo hosted by Northwest Mississippi Community College. The three-day event was held April 25-27 at the Northwest Multipurpose Arena.
Highlighted by a pair of individual first-place performances, East Mississippi Community College claimed the women’s team title of the 13th annual Boll Weevil Stampede Rodeo hosted this past weekend by the University of Arkansas at Monticello. The three-day event concluded Saturday night at the Drew County Fairgrounds.
The East Mississippi Community College rodeo teams opened the spring portion of the NIRA Ozark Region schedule by hosting its Seventh Annual Intercollegiate Rodeo this past weekend at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center. With three-day rodeo action concluding Saturday night, the EMCC men and women placed fifth and tied for sixth, respectively.
Exciting collegiate rodeo action returns to Meridian this week when East Mississippi Community College hosts its Seventh Annual Intercollegiate Rodeo. The three-day event begins Thursday and runs through Saturday night’s finals at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center.
