The East Mississippi Community College rodeo teams closed out the fall portion of their 2021-22 NIRA Ozark Region schedule on a high note by winning the women’s competition and placing third in men’s action this past weekend at the 46th Annual Murray State University Racer Roundup College Rodeo. The three-day event concluded Saturday evening at the Bill Cherry Expo Center.
The East Mississippi Community College women’s rodeo team claimed its 10th NIRA Ozark Region event team title in school history by earning first-place honors this past weekend at the Three Rivers College Championship College Rodeo. The three-day event, presented by Farm Credit Southeast Missouri and co-hosted by the Sikeston Jaycees, concluded Saturday at the Art Saunders Arena at the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo grounds.
Highlighted by a pair of first-place individual finishes, the East Mississippi Community College rodeo teams placed third in men’s competition and fourth on the women’s side during this past weekend’s UWA Rodeo Showdown hosted by the University of West Alabama. The three-day NIRA Ozark Region event concluded Saturday evening at UWA’s Hines-Spree Rodeo Complex.
