With the regular season of the NIRA’s Ozark Region schedule winding down, East Mississippi Community College’s rodeo teams enjoyed some success this past weekend at the 16th annual Weevil Stampede collegiate rodeo hosted by the University of Arkansas at Monticello. The three-day NIRA Ozark Region event concluded Saturday night at the Drew County Fairgrounds.

East Mississippi Community College’s rodeo teams remain in second place on the women’s side and third in men’s competition among the current Ozark Region standings following their performances this past weekend at the University of Tennessee at Martin’s 54th annual Spring College Rodeo. UT Martin’s three-day event concluded Saturday evening at the Ned McWhorter Agricultural Pavilion.

EMCC’s women placed third at the three-day event that concluded Saturday evening at the Pearl River County Fairgrounds Arena.
