CORINTH – East Mississippi Community College's Lucy Lunceford claimed her seventh top 10 career finish by placing seventh at this week's Northeast Spring Invitational. Hosted by Northeast Mississippi Community College, the two-day tournament concluded Wednesday afternoon at Shiloh Ridge Athletic Club.
A sophomore from Tuscaloosa, Ala., Lunceford was tied for third place following her season-best 82 during Tuesday's opening round. She completed the tournament with a two-day total of 173 to earn her third top 10 showing of the current season.
Andie Kate Ramey, of host NEMCC, claimed individual medalist honors with a total score of 147 (75-72). Analeigh Little, from team champion Northwest Mississippi CC, finished as the individual runner-up eight shots behind (79-76—155).
Lunceford, a reigning NJCAA Championship participant, will next compete at the NJCAA South District Championship, April 22-23, to be held at Cider Ridge Golf Club in Oxford, Ala. A year ago, Lunceford placed 13th in the district tournament and was chosen as an at-large individual selection to compete in the 2025 NJCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship, held at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone, Iowa. She finished 38th at last year's national tournament after capping the four-day event with rounds of 84 and 83 on the final two days.
For her two-year EMCC golf career, Lunceford owns one individual title and a pair of runner-up showings among her seven top 10 career finishes.
